Pharmaceutical Enterprises (Pty) Ltd is an independent, privately owned and family-run company. It was established in 1984 in Cape Town. The company offers a mix of professional and technical experience and expertise. In 2010 the company was formally divided into Pharmaceutical Enterprises (Pty) Ltd (Parent company) and Pharmaceutical Enterprises Manufacturing (Pty) Ltd (Subsidiary).

In combination, Pharmaceutical Enterprises manufactures, packages, markets and distributes registered medicines, diagnostic medical devices, Over the Counter medicines (OTC's), complementary medicines, non-registerable health related products and cosmetics to wholesalers, hospitals, clinics, the medical profession and trade.

This site is considered the company’s head office, and all administrative, accounting, marketing, sales and invoicing functions are performed at this site.

Pharmaceutical Enterprises Manufacturing (Pty) Ltd

The Factory is primarily a packing, warehousing and distribution facility. Most products are manufactured by local third party manufacturers or imported in bulk/finished form and delivered to the Factory for packing and/or distribution. The following packing facilities are available: Blister packing, tablet / capsule packing, liquid filling and packaging of medical devices. All packing processes occur within Cleanrooms. Small-scale manufacture of diagnostic medical devices is also performed at this site (injection moulding).
